I just finished commissioned order for an Americana Pillow and I thought I'd share my pattern with you. I wrote it down as I went along, but have not made a second pillow to test it out so please, if you find any errors or have any questions, let me know.

MATERIALS
Hooks: I and J aluminum
4 steel
4 steel
Yarn: worsted weight (red, off white & blue)
size 10 crochet cotton (off-white/ecru)
3" thick Polly Foam (pillow foam), cut to 7"x11"
FRONT
With J hook & red yarn, CO 43 sts.
Switch to I hook.
Row 1: RED-Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and ea ch across. Ch 2, turn. (40)
Row 2: Hdc in ea st across. FO (40)
Row 3: OFF WHITE-Hdc in ea st across. Ch 2, turn. (40)
Row 4: Hdc in ea st across. FO (40)
Row 5-12: repeat rows 3 and 4, alternating red and white every 2 rows. (40)
Row 13: RED-Hdc 23, BLUE-Hdc 18 (40)
Row 14: BLUE-Hdc 18, RED-Hdc 23 (40)
Row 15-26: repeat rows 13 and 14, alternating red and white every 2 rows. FO (40)
BACK
Using only blue, follow Rows 1-26 of FRONT.
STARS
Using No.4 steel hook and crochet cotton, make 18:

ch 2
5sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st
*ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, sl st in next st*repeat 4 more times, FO
Referring to image for placement, sew stars to blue area on front piece.
With right sides facing each other, whip stitch the sides of the front and back pieces together, leaving top and bottom open.
Single crochet bottom closed.
Insert poly foam.
Single crochet top closed.
