Finished It! Friday: August 05, 2011

Hello friends!
This has been such a busy week. We went on a mini-vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains and had so much fun! It was the first thing resembling a vacation we've taken in a couple of years and it was awesome! Unfortunately, I didn't get a single yarny project completed this week to share with you, so here are just a few vacation pics instead!

After a morning of shopping in Gatlinburg, we decided to take a relaxing drive through Cades Cove...

We even got to see a Momma Black Bear and her cub, but I couldn't get a clear pic of them from the road. This little guy however was standing right by the road!

Jeremy did his research to find the fastest Go Carts in Pigeon Forge (without needing a driver's license so Damon could drive too) and we ended up here...

Here they are getting all buckled in....

I wish we had a better camera, but we have what we have and the next few shots are blurry, but I just have to share how much fun we were having!

Here's Jeremy......

and here both of the boys are....

Damon was really kickin' butt! Jeremy beat him once, but most of the time Damon was so fast he was lapping the other racers, he totally rocked!

Here he is in his favorite spot - the front!!

Finally, here they are getting on the Skyscraper ride that goes 150 feet in the air, and spins on a pendulum-like thing in 360° loops going 60 mph....whew! Better them than me!!! LoL...

I'm sure I'll have actual yarn-works to share with ya next week. I hope you enjoyed the vacation pics!
Have a great week my friends!

  1. Sounds like a fun vacation. Gatlinburg isn't too far from us and I've been there several times. It's a fun place to visit and really beautiful with the Smokey Mountains. Have a great weekend Anita. :-)

  2. Thank you Heather, it was very fun indeed! Pigeon Forge is only about 2½ hours from us and Gatlinburg only adds about another 20 minutes in the off season when traffic isn't bad. It's our favorite little getaway, but usually we just go, have a nice dinner, spend the night, and window shop a little the next morning before we head home. It was really nice to actually get to do a few of the activities this time. *Ü*

Have a great weekend as well sweetie!♥
