Hey there!
I have had a pretty full last few days here in my little corner of the world.
We went to Knoxville the other day so that I could go to A.C. Moore and buy some yarn.
While we were at it, Wayne found a toolbox that he wanted for the back of the truck on Chattanooga's Craigslist, but it was just over the border into Georgia.  So, we decided to take the boys with & make a day out of it since we have to go almost an hour to get to Knoxville & another hour or so to get to the border.  We ended up not getting home until around 1 am.  We sure were tired when we got home, but it was a wonderful day!  We got to go to a park while we were out and just relaxed and had some really good "unplugged" family time.

I did get back to working on the girl Dolly last night & finished her up today.
What do you think?

Now I'm off to find a new project to get started on!
I'll see ya soon!
Love ya,

Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete purity because we fear God.

I just went through and updated my projects (all the ones I actually had pics of anyway) on my Ravelry page.
Man what a job! It has taken me all evening. If I don't get some yarn in my fingers and quick I think I may stroke out!

If you'd like to hook up with me on Ravelry you can find me HERE.
I'd love to see you there!

For now, I'm off to do some yarnin'! ;o)
Love ya's!

Knit Cloth

I mentioned in my last post that my fingers were itchin' to knit (or something like that, LoL) and so they have been!

First, I worked up this Log Cabin Washcloth that I found over at The Purl Bee.
It was a true joy to make & I love the end results. The color combinations are endless, and it is a fast-going, mindless knit...great for working on as you veg out in front of the tv or as a take-along project.
I'm not real thrilled with the pic as the colors aren't real true (that yellow-looking color is actually like a bright green) & it doesn't do the cloth justice, but I wanted to share it with you, so I'll deal with it. ;o)

Last night I continued work on the little girl Dolly that I started with the boy that I posted pics of the last time. I'm not sure what I'll work on tonight, whatever makes my fingers happy! ;o)

Hope everyone has an abundantly blessed day!
I love ya's!

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. Romans 8:26-27

My Cute Little Boy

Here he is!
My very first, totally original, fully completed Dolly!
It was so hard to give him up once he was finished.

He actually has brown hair (bangs) under the bill of the hat. You can see it really well in person, but in the pics it all blends in with the color of the hat.

Without further ado.....

So what d'ya think?

I also completed this little guy as a pattern tester for one of my fellow Crochetville members, Lilly Flower.

Isn't he a cutie!

Now my fingers are just dying to do some knitting, so I'm gonna join my fellow group members of Rachel's Knitting Room in this months KAL. I'll share pics soon!

Have an abundantly blessed day my friends!
I love ya's!

And since we are his children, we will share his treasures--for everything God gives to his Son, Christ, is ours, too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later. Romans 8:17-18

Lookie What I Got

I joined the At My House Knitting and Crochet List flower exchange again for May & Ms. Mary Faith was my partner again & lookie at all my very sweet partner sent me this month!

Having Mary as an exchange partner has been a true blessing!

....God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. Romans 8:3b

I did it!!!

I came up with my very own Dolly!

Here it is all done but the hair & clothes! I will be making some perfecting adjustments as I make more dolls, but all-in-all I'm thrilled with how it turned out!

Here's a close up of the face. I love the little nose! I even put little thumbs on the hands. ;o)

Right now I'm workin' on a boy and a girl (complete with hair & clothes!). The pic's not upside down, LOL, I took it that way because I make them from the feet up (so that the legs are connected to the body & I don't have to attach them later) and then going from the waist down for the pants/skirt (The girlie was done before I made the decision to start doing the pants/skirt that way).

I'm very excited & can't wait to post pics of them all completed!

I wanted to thank all of my friends from Rachel's Knitting Room, At My House Knitting and Crochet List & Crochetlist for your encouragement & kind words!
Y'all are the best & I love ya's!

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us--they help us learn to endure.
And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.

Hello Dolly!

I absolutely love dolly's!
Since I made my very first dolly for my niece for Christmas I have been on a dolly kick.

These lovely ladies were made using Mia's Magdalena pattern & I just added felt under the eyes for eye color & some blush on the cheeks for them both & the second one I had a vision for the hair & decided to give it dimension & even added a little barrette to match the skirt....

Mia has me inspired! After I made these two I decided to go my own way and make a little boy dolly. Still Mia's pattern for the doll itself with the exception of the eyes, boots instead of little girlie dress shoes, gave him short sleeves instead of long, did the hair differently (of course, I mean it IS a boy! LOL) & I changed the mouth a little bit. BUT, I made the hat & pants on my very own. Gettin' brave huh?

This next little beauty is the last dolly I'm gonna make using Mia's Magdalena pattern as the base of a dolly (though I do want to buy some of the patterns she has on ETSY---such a talented lady!!!).
Again, I changed it up a bit....multi-dimensional hair, the felt eyes, the barrette & blush, I totally changed the shoes & did the hands a little different and designed a totally different skirt.

I am so inspired that I have decided to make my own dolly pattern!
I really don't like sewing parts together any more than I have to, so one of the first things I knew I wanted in a dolly was to start from the feet up and making it all one piece except for the arms which I will have to sew on.
Here's my progress so far....

I am getting ready to start the head rounds now. This one is going to be a girl & the vision I have is panties with ruffles around the legs and the socks will have ruffles around them too. I want my hands to have little thumbs & I'm trying to make the face just a bit more defined...I'll keep ya posted about how it goes!

Have a great evening friends.
Love ya's!

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Back in January my youngest, Damon, found a pattern for a blue Totoro HERE and asked me to make it for him. I decided to surprise him with it & he absolutely loved it! When I posted the pic up on my Facebook page for my friends and family to see I had a friend ask me if she could pay me to make her a couple, and according to the copyright on the pattern I could do just that! YaY! They were the first items that I made for profit...well, that I actually got paid for. I did have a lady order a scarf & hat set before Christmas & after all the time and money that I spent making them, she never paid...*sighs*...I was pretty disappointed.'s the original that I made:

Blue Totoro made for Damon

I forgot to take a pic of the second one (man, I HATE when I do that!!!), but I just finished the third this evening...

I can definitely see how my work is improving!

Thanks for letting me share with you.
Be blessed my friends, I love y'all!

Today the boys, Chloe and I went to Ozone Falls with Wayne and we all had such a wonderful time! I got some great pics too...not just of the falls, but also of all the guys and Chloe.

Such a blessed day, I just really wanted to share it with you!

More Puffy Love....

I absolutely LOVE being part of exchanges!
I got these beauties from my partner Mary for the April Flower Exchange from At My House Knitting and Crochet List. The requirements were only two crochet or knit flowers, but lookie how sweet....Mary even sent me some flower thumb-tacks! Oh boy did she have my number! Love. Them.

And on an even happier note (hard to beat those beauties though!) I lost 3 pounds this week!!!! Thats 5 pounds total since I started Spark People and 10 total since the very beginning of my efforts! I really do have to say that I don't think I would be able to stick with it during the hard times without the help of God (of course!) and the support and friendship of my fellow Sparkers!

Now, I'm off to the waterfalls with my guys!
Have a gorgeous day my friends!
I love yas!

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Puffy Love

Hey y'all!
Today is an absolutely gorgeous day here in Tennessee! I absolutely love Spring!
You know what else I love???

One of the awesome yahoo groups that I belong to is the At My House Knitting and Crochet List and for the first time ever I actually joined a couple of exchanges. One of which was a coaster exchange where you are partnered up with another person who signed up and you each agree to exchange one coaster. My wonderful partner was Cinda and she sent me not only one coaster, but SIX! She was so generous and also sent me a scrubby AND a beautiful bookmark. Lookie, lookie....

Gift from Cinda

And to update you on everything else....
I am still single & loving it. I am not even looking nor wanting to date right now. For the first time in my life I am comfortable with it just being me (and my kiddos of course). I am eating healthier, exercising every day & slowly but surely losing weight. This week I lost .6 lbs...not phenomenal, but a loss all the same!

Before I close I wanted to show you what I made for my friend Samantha's son Patrick. He specifically requested a BLACK lion. I started on it almost a year ago, but with all of the chaos a marital separation brings, I really hadn't been able to work on any perceivably big projects so I just kept putting it off. It really wasn't that big of a project at all actually. Very simple and I LOVE the results! It has a removable cool is that!?!?

Did I mention that I LOVE it?!?!?
You can find the pattern HERE.

Ok, that's all I got for ya today.
Y'all have an incredibly blessed weekend.
I love ya's!!!

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Tryin' to Stay Outta Trouble

Not the best pic, but isn't it cute!?!?

That's a heart-topped straight pin at the top there.
I followed the pattern found HERE.
Easy-peasy & very quick!

And what about this.....
Newborn Hat

How sweet is that? I followed the patter I found HERE.
Another easy-peasy, quickie to work up!

And one more for good measure....
I have a friend at church & her husband recently had to have his leg amputated thanks to diabetes & I really wanted to do something to bless him so I knit him this stump cover.

Amputee's Stump Cover

The lighting has the color off a bit, but it's navy blue. I made it using Caron Simply Soft yarn because it's, well, simply soft.
I used the pattern that Suzetta has HERE.

So these are some of the things keeping me out of trouble lately.
I hope y'all are stayin' out of trouble too...hehehe.
Be blessed my friends.
I love yas!
